General Questions

Our classes are designed for expectant parents, partners, grandparents, and anyone who wants to feel more prepared for pregnancy, birth, newborn care, and the postpartum period. Whether you’re welcoming your first baby or adding to your family, you’re welcome here.

We recommend enrolling between 20–32 weeks of pregnancy. This allows plenty of time to complete the series before your baby’s arrival. However, families at any stage of pregnancy are welcome if space is available.

About Beyond Birth Education

Classes are taught by Heather Bodden, RN, LCCE, a labor and delivery nurse and Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator who is passionate about helping families feel informed, supported, and confident throughout pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood.

We believe childbirth education should be welcoming, evidence-based, and free from judgment. Our classes focus on helping families understand their options, build confidence, and prepare for a variety of birth and parenting experiences—not just one “right” way to give birth or care for a newborn.
No. Our classes are intended to provide education and support but are not a substitute for medical care or advice from your healthcare provider. We encourage all families to discuss their individual health needs and questions with their obstetric provider, midwife, or pediatrician.
