About Me

Hi, I’m Heather.

I’m a Registered Nurse, Lamaze-trained Childbirth Educator, wife, and mother of two. For years, I’ve had the privilege of caring for growing families during one of the most important moments of their lives—pregnancy, birth, and the transition into parenthood.

Through my work in labor, delivery, postpartum care, and newborn education, I’ve seen firsthand that while every birth is unique, every family deserves the same thing: evidence-based information, compassionate support, and the confidence to make decisions that feel right for them.

I created Beyond Birth Education because I believe childbirth education should be practical, welcoming, and free from judgment. Whether you’re preparing for your first baby or adding to your family, my goal is to help you feel informed, supported, and empowered throughout your journey.

My classes combine professional expertise with real-world experience, covering everything from labor and birth to newborn care, breastfeeding, and the postpartum transition. I strive to create a relaxed environment where questions are encouraged, partners feel included, and families leave feeling prepared for whatever path their birth experience may take.

When I’m not teaching or working as a nurse, you’ll usually find me spending time with my family, homeschooling my daughters, or enjoying life here in Texas.
